Our Story is a long and ironic one; Corey moved to Fine Lake, about 6 houses up from my parents, in his freshman year of high school. We rode the same bus, took the same classes, ate in the same cafeteria with about 200 other students, and... said about 4 words to each other throughout the whole thing. Corey says he had a crush on me from the beginning, when I wouldn't stop talking to him (and anyone else that would listen) on the bus, and my dad told me I should date him, thus making the idea obviously "not cool" to the teenage version of myself.

A few years after graduation, we again found ourselves within walking distance from each other while attending Western Michigan University; his friends lived right next door to my campus house, and occassionally we would wave and say "Hi".

Then, during my sister's graduation party, Corey stopped by because his mom gave him a card to drop off, and we FINALLY exchanged more than a greeting - and hit it off right away. He called the next day and asked me out on a date to the beach in South Haven, where two years later he proposed with the sun shining magically after a day of non-stop rain.

Our wedding ceremony will take place at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod (www.mightymessengers.org), where Paster Naumann will be joining our hearts and lives as one on June 27, 2009.

Our wedding planning has been on of the most strenuous and yet exciting times of our lives; we've been through so much together - Corey's senior engineering project with many date nights starting with him passing out on my bed while I was doing my hair (thus ending quickly), the most stressful week of his life waiting to see where he would get a job, my acceptance and moving to Illinois for my graduate program, then moving to Ohio for my internship, and the most stressfull week of my life while I waited to hear if I would recieve a job offer in Michigan to be with Corey - of which, I did! - that even though we thought this would be easy, it's definitely tried our patience.

However, we can now say that we have found our church, booked our reception hall, photographer, DJ, baker, florist, and purchased my wedding dress, all in a matter of weeks!

We've now also moved into our new house in Paw Paw, MI, of which the new address is on the Save the Dates, which just went out in the mail, and should be in your possession soon! Our Reception will take place at the Kalamazoo Country Club overlooking the gorgeous White Lake, fully decorated to reflect the beach-themed wedding we're planning, and will start immediately following the ceremony.

We will be offering our guests a few hors d'oeuvres to tide you over while we take pictures, a buffet with three different choices (pasta, chicken, or salmon), along with a salad bar, and, of course, a beautiful beach-themed wedding cake for dessert! There will be a champagne toast, domestic beer, and alcholic punch available for those who wish to drink, as well as sodas and coffee for those who choose not to. Please plan on showing your ID to the bartenders, and no sneaking a few to the underage!

Negril, Jamaica, here we come! Our honeymoon plans include leaving Sunday right after the wedding, taking off from Detriot on Monday, and returning seven days later, rested and relaxed as the newest Mr. and Mrs. Case!

Although we plan to register at a few other places, because we are both just starting out and weddings can be expensive, we would really appreciate anyone interested in giving an "unconventional gift" to visit our Honeymoon registry, where your much-appreciated gifts would go towards helping us plan the honeymoon of our dreams, and thus starting out our new life together in a fantastic way.
